Job Description
Successful candidate will be responsible to generate maximum profitable revenues and passenger volumes for Etihad Airways through directing and focusing the Leisure Sales team to an agreed plan and activity. Establish presence of the airline as a major quality brand in the market. Represent the airline as a key member of the senior management team.
Requirements
Educated to degree level or equivalent. Business qualifications an advantage. At least 8 years sales experience, of which 4 should have been spent at a senior level, within a world class airline or multinational travel company.
Training in account management, sales & negotiation skills, with the ability to coach, train and guide sales executives on best method.
  • Team leadership skills, positive, energetic, dynamic, and creative.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to short lead times.
  • Self starter with strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical skills to make positive use of broad range of data and information.
  • Good PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet
  • Strong Sales CRM system skills (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Fully conversant with decision support/management information tools (revenue /share tracking systems)
    ResponsibilitiesQuickly build and maintain profitable sales and market share for Etihad
    • Secure business from key leisure segments
    • Lead and develop a professional, highly effective and motivated sales team and ensure all sales activity is recorded in Salesforce.com
    • Drive the successful implementation of Leisure sales initiatives
    • Develop and implement systems to make the sales force effective
    • Ensures sales activity is within the cost of sale targets
    • Ensures Etihad anticipates and/or responds to market and competitor trends, issues, threats so as to win more sales or to avoid or minimize any adverse impact on sales
    • Ensure strategies developed are based on the nature of the demand and the behaviours of the segments served
    • Ensure customer strategies and programmes are implemented with priority partners, within budget, on time and to agreed performance levels
