Manager: Supply Chain
Introduction:
The successful candidate will ensure the uninterrupted and cost-efficient provision of materials, goods, works and services by means of tenders and framework contracts, in terms of the Supply Chain Management Policy and contemporary and legislative requirements, as well as manage the procedures for the disposal of redundant assets and scrap.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage departmental staff and other resources
  • Review and maintain the supply chain management policies and standard operating procedures
  • Provide advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders regarding the ICASA supply chain and specifically tender procedures
  • Oversee the submission of tenders and assist the bid committee
  • Oversee the administration of supply chain contracts
  • Ensure full compliance with SCM policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and control the disposal of assets.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 and NQF Level 7 qualification in Purchasing/Procurement
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a finance and/or supply chain environment and a valid driver's licence
  • Performance-focused and results-driven
  • Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to cope with stress, conflict and crises
  • Problem-solving skills.
