The Customer Pricing team provides business performance support and analysis to the commercial finance teams. Reporting to the Sales Reporting & Trade Spend Manager, the purpose of this role is to produce timely, accurate and informative Customer Pricing reports and analysis for Diageo. Specifically, you will:
• Complete monthly reporting on customer pricing and discounts, whilst ensuring data validation is completed to mitigate potential financial risks.
• Complete quarterly wholesaler reviews
• Ensure all discount claims are approved and correctly coded.
• Complete variance analysis and regular forecasts on discount claims
• Management of the pricing database and accounts reconciliation to sense check data
• Analyse accounts and prepare commentaries/scorecards for the commercial teams to use
• Develop and maintain system pricing (SAP & Cognos) during the two price updating periods (CPI’s) and regular NPD launches through excellent relationships with key stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:
• Degree qualification preferred
• commercial or Big 4 experience
• Preparation of reconciliations and the use of SAP system for journal posting and analysis – pricing exposure highly regarded
• Intermediate-Advanced Excel skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage and challenge senior staff
• Understands the controls and governance required in this area, and willing to speak up when others are acting in a manner inconsistent with them
• Process driven / highly organised style - ability to identify opportunities for improvement and move them to action
