Based in our Warsaw office you will have a unique opportunity to manage project teams in delivery of consultancy services supporting economics and private sector development as well as governance and social development.

About the role

The purpose of this position is to manage the various activities relating to the project cycle in a specific sector through business development, project management and relationship management. You will manage the project team in preparation of project bids, project mobilisation and ongoing project management to be delivered on time and on budget to meet project and client needs.
Reporting to a Senior Manager, a key deliverable of the positions to ensure that the above activities of Coffey International Development are implemented in a professional manner as per Company procedure with an absolute focus on quality and timeliness.

About you

The successful candidate will show a working knowledge of a range of software applications and strong computer skills including Microsoft Windows Word, Excel, Office, Outlook and PowerPoint. Ideally you should have a minimum a Masters degree in a relevant subject e.g. development studies, economics, politics, international relations, business, law or sociology.
Your experience in international development projects is less important but we would expect that you have demonstrated experience with business development, including the identification of target clients, the preparation of project proposals, and the negotiation of contract terms. You should have very good understanding of project management processes incl. budgeting and financial management and control of projects. Your previous experience is managing teams is required.

From a practical standpoint, you must be a strategic thinker, quality and results oriented, and able to take ownership. You will have ability to multi-task and allocate/review priorities to meet deadlines in a time-bound environment. Above all, though, you’ve got to be committed to developing a career in project management and to helping our clients make a very real and positive difference to the world through international development work.
