If you have extensive knowledge of major official donors and a proven record of securing significant funds from them, this position as Head of International Partnerships with ActionAid International is the perfect role for your skills. Focused on helping people use their own power to fight poverty and injustice we want you to provide strategic and operational leadership to achieve ambitious fundraising targets from institutional donors.
As Head of International Partnerships you will mobilise people and resources to deliver an innovative strategy and novel tactics to increase institutional income. You will develop and manage relationships with multi-lateral institutional donors and use your entrepreneurial flair to identify and secure new sources of partnership income. You will also ensure the development of systems, processes; practice and culture across the organisation to make sure we work to the highest standards in funds management. In addition, you will work with senior management colleagues to improve the management of institutional funds and develop training initiatives to increase the capacity of staff to oversee contracts.
A graduate in a relevant discipline you will have extensive experience of gaining significant funding from major official donors in a senior fundraising management role. This will have given you an in-depth understanding these type of donors and their funding policies and practices. You must have strong proposal development skills and can demonstrate you have developed and implemented successful entrepreneurial approaches to fundraising. Self-motivated with strong communication skills you will be effective at mentoring, coaching and developing people. In addition you must be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to develop, promote and practice our vision, mission, values and strategy.
