Internship - Vehicles at Transport & Environment

Transport & Environment (T&E), the leading Brussels-based NGO promoting cleaner transport in Europe, is offering an internship for a period of six months, ideally starting on 1 September. 
 
The successful candidate will be working with T&E’s vehicles team, focusing on supporting T&E campaigns for less polluting vehicles. Depending on the background of the successful candidate, the work will involve supporting campaigns on 2025 car and van CO2 regulation and air pollution emissions from vehicles and machinery.
 
Responsibilities/tasks will include:
  • Research studies on issues related to the emerging environmental issues of vehicles
  • Data analysis on aspects of emissions from vehicles
  • Tracking the launch and performance of new vehicle models
  • Preparing presentation materials
  • Organising events in the European Parliament
  • Maintaining and developing contact databases
Ideally the successful candidate will have a good knowledge of vehicle emissions; demonstrable interest in environmental politics and an aptitude for influencing policy. Good interpersonal skills are essential. Candidates with a scientific or engineering background are strongly encouraged to apply.
 
The position is a full-time one, with a fixed six-month contract. This internship is remunerated.
