Manager, Nutrition Advocacy

The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) is an independent philanthropic organisation, headquartered in London with offices in Nairobi and New Delhi.  We work with a wide range of partners seeking to transform the lives of poor and vulnerable children in developing countries.
We aim to play a catalytic role as a funder and influencer to deliver urgent and lasting change at scale. Our ambitious strategy for our children and mothers’ health and nutrition programme focuses on reducing stunting and wasting in five priority geographies in Africa and South Asia and increasing funding and political will for nutrition globally. Although nutrition has gained more prominence in recent years, it still remains a marginal issue in development.
In 2013, CIFF made an ambitious pledge to commit $700m to nutrition by 2020 under the Nutrition for Growth (N4G) compact.
Position: Manager, Nutrition Advocacy
Location: London, with travel

Competitive
Advocacy is a key part of realising our ambitions.  We are now seeking an outstanding individual to drive forward our objectives, contributing to the implementation of a nutrition advocacy global strategy, as well as acting as advocacy lead in one of our priority geographies, Rajasthan.
Building on your successful track record of advocacy programme design and implementation, you will strategically oversee a portfolio and pipeline of high quality investments at global and country levels, and bring a deep understanding of how to build and develop partnerships that achieve maximum impact.  You have excellent analytical and written abilities, enabling you to deliver robust evaluation of nutrition advocacy programmes and potential partners to support the team in determining future strategic priorities.
Working closely with colleagues across CIFF, your exceptional communication, representation and influencing skills are essential, together with a passion for our cause, to ensure our message on nutrition is championed externally. Experience of advocacy and influence in the global south is highly desirable.  Sector backgrounds may include nutrition, public health, climate and agriculture.
