The organization develops, delivers and promotes advanced network and associated e-infrastructure services, and supports innovation and knowledge-sharing amongst its members, partners and the wider research and education networking community.
We are looking for an exceptional Procurement Specialist to join our team in either a contract or permanent capacity, to work on inspiring procurement projects such as:
  • Procuring new regional or multinational networks;
  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies;
  • Ensuring compliance and project governance in line with EU Procurement Regulations (OJEU);
  • Aggregating demand across Europe acting as a CPB to establish new framework agreements;
  • IT support/services agreements.
In this role you will be responsible for acting as a centre of excellence to GÉANT employees (and representatives from projects across Europe and Africa). You will also support the Procurement Manager in refining channels within GÉANT.
The primary focus of spend in the organisation is wholesale telecommunication services and equipment on a global basis, with complementary spend on IT (hardware, software and services) and ancillary goods and services to support our operations.

You will already be an experienced procurement professional, who is looking for their next challenge, with a desire to share best practice and support global project partners in complying with European Procurement Regulations. 

Proactive and results orientated, you will be able to deal with a broad range of business issues, including technical, financial, legal and contractual. An essential requirement is that you have strong experience of working on public procurements (OJEU) and ideally with Telecoms procurement experience.
