We are recruiting for the position Head of Information Governance, a key role, responsible for the development and implementation of bank-wide information governance policies and standards, and for the deployment of information management and collaboration tools in line with governance frameworks. The successful candidate will possess substantial knowledge of information governance topics and exhibit superior leadership qualities. He/she will bring creativity and vision to the role and at the same time, be a practical, results-oriented team player.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of a long-term strategy for the optimization of information management and governance throughout the Bank in collaboration with senior management;
  • Full line management responsibility for the Information Governance team and acts as deputy for the Head of Information and Collaboration;
  • Advises the Information Management Policy Group (IMPG) on the continuous development of bank wide information management policies and guidelines;
  • Manages projects for the development, implementation and maintenance of new information management and collaboration systems and tools; oversees the maintenance of existing tools and systems;
  • Pro-actively manages relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Works with the Head of Information and Collaboration on budget and resource planning, and staff development topics;
  • Participates in management meetings and forums, and contributes to projects as required.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • University degree in information management/technology, business administration or related areas. An additional qualification in information governance, mobile working and/or collaborative tools is highly desirable;
  • A proven track-record in information management/governance project management and related IT systems implementation;
  • Strong knowledge of IT architecture concepts and information management platforms such as Documentum/D2, SharePoint or Preservica;
  • A sound understanding of information management and governance issues, and an aptitude for designing and fostering a collaborative and mobile work environment;
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to coach and develop employees;
  • Results-oriented team player with good communication skills and a hands-on practical approach;
  • Proven ability to exercise good judgement and discretion;
  • Fluent in written and spoken English with excellent drafting skills. Knowledge of another major language is a plus;
  • At least 10 years' work experience (with project management responsibility) in an information management and governance function, and including at least 3 years of experience as a line manager.
