FIRE SUPPRESSION SUPERVISOR - MT ISA

The role
An exciting opportunity exists to join an industry leading Fire Suppression team and contribute to the delivery of a “World First” solution to the mobile Fire Suppression market. Sandvik have recently announced the launch of “ECLIPSETM” fire suppression foam, the answer to effective “fluorine free” firefighting technology and are seeking a permanent Fire Suppression Supervisor for product support and technical services with Fire Suppression equipment.

Key to the Supervisor role will be your ability to build strong customer relationships and find growth opportunities for both new installations and the aftermarket business. As a single point of contact, this diverse role will see your time spent on a full range of activities which includes sales calls, quote and tender preparation, installation and servicing of Fire Suppression systems and administration of these tasks.

Key performance areas
  • Adhere to all policies & procedures especially the EHS policies
  • Ability to work unsupervised and possess good time management skills
  • Build and Maintain strong customer relationships
  • Actively participate in sales activities
  • Monitor projects and jobs to ensure compliance with costing and time schedules including bill of materials, delivery schedules, equipment and sequences of operation
  • Fulfil reporting and administrative requirements associated with the role
  • Perform fault diagnosis, maintenance and installation of fire suppression systems
  • Identify growth opportunities for new installations as well as the aftermarket business
  • Carry out machine audits/inspections
  • Support technicians from other regions and assist in training
  • Provide customer training and presentations
Your profile
The successful candidate will ideally have a relevant trade qualification and exposure to field service work. Experience with Fire Suppression systems across various sites including surface or underground mine sites will be highly regarded. In addition you will enjoy the latitude to make decisions, lead a small team of technicians and demonstrate excellent communication skills. It is essential that you possess a current driver’s and forklift license. 
Previous supervisory and leadership experience in a similar role is desired as well as the ability to work under pressure.
