£24,297 gross starting salary per annum, (consisting of: basic salary £20,490, London weighting £2,100 and bonus £1,707). Plus discounted health care plan.

Working from a daily/weekly schedule, your cleaning duties within the Embassy will include:
  • sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and waxing floors;
  • shampooing carpets and upholstery;
  • cleaning internal windows;
  • disinfecting and deodorizing lavatories, commodes and other rest room facilities.
You will also be required to clean our government owned residential properties pre-occupancy and after occupancy, to include: vacuuming; dusting; cleaning cookers and all other types of domestic appliances. In order to travel between the Embassy and these residential properties, you must hold a valid full (manual) UK/EU/EEA driver’s license and, as necessary, be able to safely and confidently drive in and around central London.
Drawing from your supervisory experience, you will act as the “on-the ground” point of contact, providing guidance and direction to other custodians to overcome non-routine custodial problems. Additinally, the Deputy Cleaning Supervisor acts as a customer services liaison for custodial services, making regular visits to customers to ensure their cleaning needs are being met and covering for the Cleaning Supervisor, when on vacation/sickness.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

EDUCATION:
No formal educational qualifications are required.
EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience in commercial/residential property cleaning is required. Supervisory experience is required.
LANGUAGE:
Level III (good working knowledge) written and spoken English English is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:Knowledge of up-to-date cleaning methods/materials is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Must be able to cover all aspects of the cleaning required, to the highest standard, in both office work and residential property cleaning. Ability to communicate effectively with whole range of customers, supervisors and colleagues is required. A valid full (manual) UK/EU/EEA driver’s license is required.
