We are looking for a Parts & Service Manager, Crushing & Screening to join the team in Dubai, UAE.
The role:
Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology business is mostly through distributors in the Middle East. The Parts & Service Manager is responsible for the effective development and delivery of Customer Services to SMRT customers, including definition of offerings and profitable growth of the Customer Service business including (but not limited to): performance contracts; service management (incl. field service); spare parts and consumables and training.
The position plays an important role in business development through supporting global SMRT initiatives and the Product Line Managers. Specific effort shall be made in the promotion and awareness of safety and safety related issues and initiatives across SMRT.
Key performance areas:
Key performance areas include putting safety first, considering and taking responsible actions with environmental health and safety aspects.
  • Developing and implementing a Customer Service strategic plan that is aligned to the SMRT strategy and those of the other product lines to ensure there is a common focus for the Customer Service deliverables.
  • Development of consumables business for SMRT and non-SMRT equipment through regional and local product line management and close cooperation with SMRT equipment product lines and regional consumables sales forces (which are part of the regional customer service organization).
  • Business planning, budgeting, forecasting and follow-up of the product line(s) for spare and wear parts
  • Collecting information and inventions to supply to the product area/factory for continued product development of Crushing & Screening products and offerings.
  • Ensuring appropriate facilities, tools and resources to deliver Customer Services to all product line customers in a consistent manner.
  • Keeping up to date with the competition's activities and ensuring Sandvik is market competitive
  • Ensure the consistent implementation of agreed SMRT wide Customer Service concepts and routines.
  • Ensuring wears & spares, screen media & wear protections sales budgets are fulfilled
  • Evaluating and advising on go to market models for the business line
  • Suggesting and evaluating distributors, in cooperation with dealer manager if applicable
  • Implementing global strategies/initiatives in the product line of the sales area
  • Responsible for using all relevant sales tools databases
People Management Responsibilities:
  • Hiring, mentoring, motivating, training, evaluating and leading team members to accomplish the goals and objectives of the businesses.
  • Mapping needs and ensuring delivery of relevant training for your direct reporting sales team (application, technical, soft skills, etc.)
  • Maintain a succession plan for key positions in the team
  • Setting and following up targets for the sales team to establish a sales and performance-driven culture
  • Developing people in cross cultural and virtual teams according to the Sandvik core values and leadership model
Your profile:

It is essential that the successful candidate will have a strong EHS understanding and culture, with excellent written communication skills. You must have a flexible approach to working hours and overtime, to suit the customer/business needs. Your background will be from technical school education in engineering/technical field. In addition to good practical and theoretical understanding you will combine this with excellent communication and social skills. An ability to work independently is a must, coupled with confidence in dealing with customers.
Having service experience in Sandvik Crushing & Screening equipment and parts is essential.
