Business Development Manager - Saudi Arabia (m/f)
This position is based in Riyadh.
Your responsibilities:
- Agent's Relationship / Network Management:
- Manage Regional Provinces (Western/Eastern/Central)
- Build relationship with Agent's Regional managers
- Build relationship with Location managers
- Work closely with regional and location managers
- Identify top locations and corridors and create plan to support growth
- Identify new potential locations and create plan to support future growth
- Identify white spots
- Map regions according to Diaspora and Competition
- Responsible for developing and implementing the strategic network development plan in accordance with the strategy in the country/Region.
- The Bus. Dev. Manager should cooperate and coordinate agents' activities in order to ensure that the agents are investing the proper funds in actions that have the best impact on network development, and also implementing, and contributing to build Western Union's brand awareness and visibility within the netwo
- New Business Opportunities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the country/region and evaluate the market potential of each opportunity or consumer need and incorporate into a Regional Agent network plan
- Sharing experiences from within Western Union with the Agents, trying to expand successful agent relationship strategies and new business opportunities throughout the region, and incorporating into the Country network plans
- In-country/field activities:
- Responsible for leading efforts/initiatives related with the designated Agents Network development
- The scope of this role will involve focusing on the quality and quantity development of the network he/she will be instrumental in demonstrating to the Agents the value of network development, its management and the impact on transaction and revenue growth
- BDM will work closely with existing Western Union agents to measure the effectiveness of the network plan on a monthly / quarterly basis, understand the needs of the agent network teams and the market place and design /introduce together with the Agent mutually agreed network management tools to drive transactions and revenues
- The position may involve negotiating alongside the Agent new network prospects as agreed with the Agent
- Regional Tasks:
- The individual will be involved in Regional Network and business projects on an ongoing basis
Qualifications
- Business College and/or University Degree
- Minimum three years of relevant sales & marketing experience (consumer service industry) in Saudi Arabia
- Budget management experience (minimum of 3 years)
- Appropriate balance between fact based strategic thinking and tactical execution, logical approach to planning process coupled with relentless attention to detail and follow through
- Experience in leading and being a Team Member of cross/functional, cross/country project teams (minimum of 3 years)
- Experience in the provision of coaching and influencing people in matrix and dotted line reporting structures (at least 3 years)
- Experience in working with and managing and developing relationships with Agents
- Proven Negotiation skills (at least 3 years)
- Proven strength in understanding and applying fact based consumer centric marketing mix coupled with demonstrable understanding of its relationship with Distribution for revenue and profit generation
- Fluent Arabic & English
- Cultural awareness, sensitivity and understanding of different ethnic groups, cultures and consumer backgrounds in Saudi and greater GCC
- Knowledge of the Saudi Arabia and region
- Ability to Travel (approx. 30-40 %)
- In-Country extensive travel
