MSc or PhD - Coastal Engineering

DHI is looking for academic staff specialised in coastal and estuarine processes and numerical modelling

You will be working with development of numerical modelling tools for coastal and estuarine processes and specialised consultancy within the fields of:

  • coastal engineering
  • shoreline management
  • estuarine management
  • sedimentation and coastal erosion
  • climate adaptation
  • environmental aspects of dredging operations
  • data analysis and handling

Your background

Education at MSc level and preferably at PhD level within one or more of the above mentioned disciplines. You will need analytical skills and a solid background within numerical modelling. You should be able to undertake programming in Fortran, C++ and be able to use common software tools as MATLAB and similar. Proficiency in English is a prerequisite. Experience from relevant research position will be an advantage.

Your personal skills

You must be able to work in a busy environment and collaborate with experts within other fields than your own. We expect that you work well on your own, but also that you are a team player. You must be prepared for some travel activities.
