These products provide an extensive model environment that ensures a perfect match to most real world water phenomena. The modelling tools facilitate easy applications at any stage of your projects - from feasibility through design, construction to operation and maintenance.

The MIKE by DHI products are developed at software development centres world-wide, including Denmark, China (Shanghai) and Singapore. The Research Centre Centre is a branch of MIKE by DHI (as well as a branch of DHI Singapore) which head quarter is located in Horsholm, Denmark. DHI is a world leading software provider of advanced software packages for water and the environment.

Vacant positions as software developers are now available at the Singapore office.

MIKE by DHI

MIKE by DHI is a brand name for DHI's software packages for computation of water flow, sediment transport and water quality. The software, which covers ground water, water supply and run-off, floods and seas, has been sold in more than 100 countries world-wide.

MIKE by DHI is among others used for storm flood warning around the North Sea, floods along the Yangtze River, computation of ground water flow in Aarhus County, management of sewer systems in Milwaukee, environmental impact assessments in Tampa Bay, Florida and design of coastal protection on Bali.

The Job

As a member of the MIKE by DHI Product Development Team, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of components for our commercially available software products. The work includes close co-operation with Project Managers, Domain Specialists and Software Developers within the MIKE by DHI Product organisation, both in Singapore and in Denmark.

As a Software Developer you will be working in teams with constructing solutions and components that will become the corner stone of the future MIKE by DHI products. It will be your responsibility that the components are designed and coded according to specifications and with a high degree of quality.

Your experience and qualifications include one or more of the following technologies:

  • .NET
  • C#
  • COM
  • VC++ and MFC
  • Visual Studio
  • UML
  • Database design (SQL, Oracle)
  • Unit testing
  • ASP.NET, WCF, Web Services,
  • Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) will be an advantage
  • One or more MCP certifications will be an advantage

Common for all positions are:

  • You have a very good understanding of the Microsoft software development models and toolset
  • You should be fluent in English – both written and oral
  • Fluency in Chinese (mandarin) is an advantage
  • You should be flexible for working with different types of technologies and different DHI products
  • You should be willing to travel to Denmark for shorter visits
  • Experience within mathematical modeling, engineering applications, water and environmental related software, decision support systems etc. is an advantage
