Generalist, Human Resources - France

On a 7 months contract for a maternity leave replacement, this position is responsible for the Human Resources Management for the France-Benelux (France - Belgium - Holland) region. The total Headcount employee is 250. The incumbent is accountable for providing daily Human Resource guidance, advice, and support to assigned employees and managers on all functional areas of Human Resources for the assigned region. He / She will escalate more complex HR issues to Europe and CIs HR manager, based in Vienna.
Further duties include but are not limited to:
  • Social relation with the works council and health and safety committee
  • Ensuring the uniform and consistent application of all company policies. If necessary, train/inform our local personnel on company policies and any other corporate initiative that may need to be launched locally.
  • Dealing with employee litigation cases and any Employee Relations issue. Involve and inform all necessary internal and/or external stakeholders on the evolution of the case.
  • Coordination of the integration of a newly acquired company (Belgium - Netherlands)
  • Developing and administering effective human relations programs and initiatives that support the company's corporate objectives.
  • Manage our Performance Management cycle and all activities related to it. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Train our personnel in the systems used during the Performance Management cycle.
    • Coach and make recommendation to the local leadership team in alignment with corporate guidelines.
    • Prepare reports on the status of the several Performance Management activities.
  • Continuous updating of personal files with documentation related to job changes (promotions, salary adjustments, new hires, terminations (voluntary and involuntary, supervisor changes, department changes, cost center changes, etc.)
  • Update all relevant data in the HRIS (PeopleSoft) system. Communicate on a timely manner with Payroll and all the incumbent parties when changes need to be processed (promotions, salary adjustments, new hires, terminations (voluntary and involuntary, supervisor changes, department changes, cost center changes, etc.)
  • Correspondence and administration of the local benefits. This includes training/informing our new hires on all local benefits and the creation of periodical reports regarding these benefits.
  • Preparing confidential correspondence
  • Drafting all employee contracts
  • Following up on the position activity report
  • Providing ongoing support and partnership to the local leadership team with any needs that may arise.
  • Providing to HR manager for Europe and CIS all required information regarding human resources
  • Supporting the recruitment team for the region.
  • Training administration
  • People Management of 2 team members
Incumbent will be responsible for first line employee relations in Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam. He/She will integrate company policies in the local labor laws.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in:
  • Managing employee relations
  • Managing payroll
  • Administration of benefits program
  • Implementing labor laws and policies


Studies in Human Resources Management is desired.
Deep knowledge of local social legislation and practices is needed.
Great negotiation and interpersonal skills are a must.
Fluency in French and English is required.
The incumbent should be currently eligible to work in France.
