Offshore/metocean engineer for challenging projects

DHI is looking for enthusiastic, sales minded and result oriented engineer to further expand our capacity and expertise in oceanography, hydraulic specialist consultancy and R&D for the future marine infrastructure and offshore energy market.

The core business areas are

  • Metocean data, modelling and services (including impact of climate changes)
  • Offshore renewables (wind, wave and tidal)
  • Offshore oil and gas
  • Ports and terminals
  • Offshore, coastal and hydraulic structures

Qualifications

  • MSc, PhD or similar in offshore/coastal engineering or physical oceanography
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in metocean modelling and data analysis
  • Strong background in hydrodynamics and numerical modeling of ocean flow and waves
  • Experience within atmospheric modelling and air-sea interaction processes preferred
  • Good analytical skills and experience with advanced statistical methods
  • Competent in MATLAB
  • Experience on load/response modelling of fixed and floating bodies preferred
