We seek qualified candidates for the position of Financial Managment Specialist in Maputo, Mozambique.

Position Responsibilities:

The Financial Management Specialist is responsible for managing office finances, financial reporting, accounting, and compliance, including field-based procurement and local accounting.

Minimum Requirements:

A advanced degree in business administration and management; with certification in accounting. Proven expertise with USG financial managment and budgeting laws, regulations and practices. Minimum of 10 years of experience working in finance in the non-profit,private and or/govenment sector. Experience in managing large annual operating budgets of approximately $10-$15 million per year. Demonstrated ability to work with host government and cooperating partners in implementing a complex project in the field under challenging circumstances. Skilled in managing and compiling financial data for reporting and ensuring compliance with all donor requirements. Excellent interpersonal and team work skills. Superior written and oral communication skills in English is essential. Advanced working knowledge of Portuguese language is essential.
