At Oikocredit International based in Amersfoort, The Netherlands, we are currently looking for a

Manager Bad Debt Collection

(36 hours a week)

Responsibilities

The new colleague will manage the Bad Debt Collection unit to lead the debt collection actions on Oikocredit’s loans in default globally and more in particular, for the South-American continent. The manager bad debt collection will streamline the collection process and coordinate and integrate the activities at Oikocredit International and at the Regional Offices. Oikocredit is looking for an experienced international negotiator, with excellent professional and communication skills to find appropriate solutions which correspond to the development approach of the organisation.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor/master in the field of finance, business or economics
  • 8 years experience with problem credit cases handling, finance or accounts receivable management
  • Track record of achieving debt collection improvements and cash collection
  • Experienced international negotiator
  • Ability to understand financial statements and the legal framework around credit
  • Experience in working within different cultural environments, in particular also in the South-American continent
  • Fluent English and Spanish, French and Portuguese highly desirable
