The role

Working in our Harrogate Geotechnics office with industry recognised leaders in their field who offer technical development and mentoring, you will be part of a team of over 50 professional staff providing the full range of geotechnical consulting work.

This role will see you managing or being part of a team involved in a range of small to large sized projects from inception to completion. You will design, undertake and manage projects from proposal preparation to managing fieldwork and then undertaking analysis and reporting. You will drive the business through successful delivery of your projects.

Typical projects include residential and commercial developments, local government projects, dams, tunnels, large civil infrastructure and mining projects, roads, rail, earth retaining structures and pavements.

The person

You will be degree qualified in Civil Engineering and have demonstrable geotechnical engineering experience gained from site investigations and providing construction stage geotechnical support. You will have strong numerical modelling skills with experience of using programs such as FLAC, PLAXIS and UDEC. Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to work cooperatively within a team environment is highly desirable. An underlying enthusiasm and keen interest in developing your geotechnical consulting skills will see you succeed in this role.
