External Campaigns Manager

Ensure a distinctive global face and voice for World Vision's Global Advocacy campaign. Coordinate and build a powerful movement for change amongst supporters, governments, multi-lateral institutions, civil society, the public and the communities in which we work around the world.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Plans, organises coordinates and manages the public engagement element of the CHN campaign.
    • Manages a team of two people, including organization of work plans and team strategy development, to ensure achievement of broader departmental and campaign goals.
    • Ensures effective implementation of the CHN campaign at the global level, while maintaining effective linkages to, and support of, the regional and national levels.
    • The Manager will oversee, support, and work closely with colleagues in National Offices, Support Offices, Regional Offices and the Global Centre involved in the campaign, to ensure the campaign's success.
    • Manage the external elements of the Child Health Now Campaign, Identify opportunities for change to public policies and practices on the issue of maternal newborn and child health, in conjunction with the External engagement and policy teams.
    • Team & Budget Management, Input into strategy and M&E.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
      Required:
    • Bachelors degree in relevant area.
    • Strategic, creative, pragmatic and innovative thinking.
    • A successful track record in coordinating / managing advocacy campaigns within an INGO.
    • Minimum 5 years experience in campaigning, advocacy and communications; and experience of working on large scale public campaigns.
    • Strong project management experience.
    • Experience of working in a complex, international and cross-cultural environment.
    • Ability / experience of managing people.

      Preferred:
    • Master Degree in International relations.
