To make your mark as Business Intelligence Manager, you will:
  • Provide management of Business Intelligence assets with an emphasis on the technical configuration of Oracle EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) development.
  • Implement leading practices within the financial consolidation process areas
  • Provide the overall BI solutions delivery, and manage systems integrator efforts, budget and headcount
  • Ensure enforcement of BI standards, advocate BI best practices throughout the organization
  • Implement solutions and enforce corporate by working closely with the BI architecture team
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Management (30%)
  • Creates project plans to schedule project tasks and activities, and drives project through to completion
  • Highlight and escalate issues & risks as appropriate to project stakeholders
  • Manage multiple project workstreams as necessary
  • Prioritize tasks and deliver to deadlines
Technical Management (30%)
  • Manage and lead our BI team to implement BI solutions using the Oracle EPM suite of tools on time that meet the business requirements of the users.
  • Manage the Oracle EPM Applications and various processes
  • Manage software and services vendors. Ability to negotiate and structure contracts favorable to the organization.
  • Ensure all projects and efforts within the team are in alignment with the company business intelligence strategy.
  • Ensure technical and functional documentation is accurate and consistent with TFS methodology.
  • Provide estimates and/or review system integrator estimates for technical development activities
Collaboration (20%)
  • Work with BI front office to identify and document the Financial data requirements and reporting metrics.
  • Work with the BI and Enterprise Architecture teams to incorporate BI standards into to day-to-day activities
  • Work with BI Operations Support team to transition enhancements into production environment
  • Responsible for the vendors and contingents performance evaluation.
Technical Skills (20%)
  • Serves as a technical backstop to developers to resolve day-to-day performance issues and design hurdles. Requires hands-on experience, including managing the metadata, the creation of accounts, entities and the custom dimensions, designing new reports , implementing user security, and using SmartView for ad-hoc anlaysis
  • Manages Oracle EPM-related projects and provides direction to team members; keeps team on track to complete projects and ensures project goals are met, assigns reports and other tasks to team members and reviews the work of team members.
  • Performs systems analysis to understand user requirements and translates them into technical specifications.
  • Improves performance and value of existing queries, reports and tools including tuning the data warehouse reporting environment and planning for capacity increases
  • Provides Level 3 support to Operations support team as necessary
The candidate who fills this position will have the option to work a 9/80 alternative schedule which means working 80 hours over nine calendar days, with the tenth day off. The day off will be alternating Fridays.

Qualifications

TFS is looking for individuals with strong business sense and practical expertise. Successful candidates should have:

Technical Requirements:

  • 5+ years managing Oracle (HFM, DRM, FDM, Planning) applications
  • Experience creating consolidated financial statements for $1B+ companies
  • Familiar with GAAP, IFRS accounting, financial audits, internal controls, US regulatory reporting
  • 4+ years focused on reporting and analytics systems

Experience/Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or 8+ years related work experience
  • Formal training and certification with the core Oracle applications (HFM, DRM, FRM, OBIEE+, Essbase, Planning).
Special Skills/Knowledge:
  • Hands-on delivery experience on the technical configuration of Hyperion Financial Management
  • Experience using Hyperion Data Relationship Management (DRM) and EPMA
Supervision Exercised:
  • 5-10 system integrator resources
