Corporate planning accountant Christian Aid

Christian Aid aims to eradicate poverty across the world. But to do so we need strong management information. By managing and communicating an effective planning and budgeting system, you will ensure that the organisation can plan and allocate its resources as effectively as possible.

You will take the responsibility to manage, communicate and constantly improve a system of planning for financial information which meets the needs of budget holders, senior managers, directors and trustees. During the budget process you will support budget holders, not only in the UK and Ireland, but also in the 45 countries we are working in and engage them to produce their budget on a timely and accurate basis. You will produce consolidated budget analyses to allow the organisation to budget as effectively as possible. You will more specifically support some budget holders with all financial matters during the year, take the lead in the development and delivery of financial planning training and manage the budget ledgers on the SUN accounting system. You will also be involved with year end tasks.

A qualified or part-qualified accountant, you will come to us with substantial financial experience, including the management of complex planning/budgeting systems and the preparation of management reports and analyses, preferably within a multicurrency environment. You will have ability to initiate, plan and organise work within agreed parameters and deadlines, as well as exceptional communication skills.
