The San Francisco Regional office is seeking a Field Technical Specialist. The Field Technical Specialist would support dealer and regional operations with a fix-it-right the first time attitude. Support customer handling to promote Toyota as the most respected car company.
A Field Technical Specialist is responsible for but not limited to the following:
• Providing direct "hands on" support to dealers and technicians by diagnosing and resolving customer technical concerns.
• Maximizing customer loyalty by ensuring "fix it right the first time" through execution of regional repair protocol.
• Support technician skills development thru active management of Skill Level Guidelines
• Provide legal department and regional NCDS/L.L administrators with technical support including inspections and investigations
• Reporting these concerns timely and accurately to TMS and the Technical Services and Training Manager for future product improvements.

Qualifications

  • Advanced automotive diagnostic methods and procedures
  • Understand TMS Product Technical and Field Operations Department procedures and goals
  • Familiarity with Toyota Warranty Policy and Procedures
  • Be familiar with Toyota Service and Parts policies and procedures
  • Toyota Dealer operating standards
  • Collision and accident reconstruction analysis
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Lotus Notes
  • The ability to travel up to 75% of the time
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ASE certification is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Automotive or Technical discipline, a business degree, or extensive related work experience with associated vocational education degree or certificate
