Industrial Hygiene Specialist United States

Responsibilities include: The successful candidate will coordinate health testing activities including but not limited to; Hearing tests, Pulmonary Function Tests and Respirator Tests, Coordinate MSHA compliance for medical surveillance and leath testing and related issues, collect and process blood and urine samples for testing, data entry of test results, various administrative housekeeping and communication with Medical Director and various off-site health service providers. Training of health related topics to staff as well as MSHA.

SELECTION CRITERIA

BASIC REQUIREMENTS
: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:

• Safety and Health degree or equivalent IH experiencepreferred
• EMT and Mine Rescue background preferred
• Certified in Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) and Certified Occupational Hearing or willing to obtain preferred

• Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirementspreferred
• Working knowledge of IH best practices, regulations and laws that involve health and safety in the workplacepreferred
• Proficient in system and auditing protocolspreferred
• Excellent communication, presentation & organizational skillsrequired
• Strong computer skills MS Office required
• Proven safe work recordrequired
