Open Pit Mobile Maintenance Supervisor United States-Nevada

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities include:The successful candidate will ensure that all planned maintenance activities for the truck and support fleet are properly executed in a safe and efficient manner. The individual will be required to comply with Barrick’s policies and procedures, MSHA, environmental regulations. Track maintenance on a fleet of numerous pieces of equipment to include: 36 Komatsu 930-E, Caterpillar dozers (D-10T, D-10N), Caterpillar 854, 690, 834, 16H, 16G, P&H 2800, and 4100 shovels. Perform employee performance evaluations, monitor, track safety performance and hours for direct reports. Present maintenance shift reports to management and peers. Conduct pre-shift inspection of the work site, monthly Planned General Inspections. Properly down code information to be entered into the Modular Mining Dispatch System. Involvement in Safety Initiative and TEAM (Total Equipment Asset Management). Encourage crew members to support continuous improvement initiatives. Provide support to operations as required. Other duties as assigned.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:

  • Two (2) years experience working in a maintenance supervisory or lead role demonstrating increasing responsibilitypreferred.
  • Five (5) years experience in the maintenance of large, open-pit mobile equipment, in a planned maintenance environmentrequired.
  • Demonstrated ability to use MS Office, Oracle, and Dispatch Modular Miningpreferred.
  • Excellent leadership skills required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Willingness to participate in a Team Based Maintenance Environment and Continuous Improvement Initiatives required.
  • Willingness to cross train in Maintenance Planning and Open Pit Operationsrequired.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required.
