Liaison Officer – Civil Society Delegations to UNITAID Boards

Liaison Officer – Civil Society Delegations to UNITAID Boards Oxford 6 month contract to December 2012

Do you want to be the Liaison Officer for the Civil Society Delegations to the UNITAID Board?

This exciting job entails coordination of the communications and accountability activities of Board members representing NGOs and affected Communities, on the Board of UNITAID.

UNITAID is a multilateral institution using long-term, sustainable funding, to impact the market for, and increase access to, medicines, diagnostics, and preventive commodities, for HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria. The NGOs and Communities delegations to the UNITAID Board (collectively known as the Civil Society Delegations) constitute two separate delegations, each with their own voices and strengths at UNITAID Board level.

The Liaison Officer role is a varied and interesting post: ensuring good communication between the representatives and their broad constituencies; coordinating consultation meetings; managing the delegations’ project funding; and providing policy/advocacy support to the delegations, on access to medicines issues. This is a 6 month post to December 2012, based in Oxford.
