Shift Supervisor – Production (Impala – Rustenburg)

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
• Grade 12/ABET Level Literacy and Numeracy is essential
• A valid Blasting Certificate is essential
• Competent A & B is essential
• Production Supervisor training is essential
• Basic computer literacy is essential
• 5 years’ experience as a Production Miner with a clean track record
• Supervisory, communication and analytical skills
• A valid Medical Certificate, or medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Ensuring compliance with managerial and Health and Safety Act legislature requirements as stipulated in this 2.15.1 appointment
• Achieving planned production targets through effective planning, organising, leading and controlling as well as quality assurance in mining activities
• Effectively managing human resources through discipline, guidance, motivation and development of mining personnel
• Effectively managing and maintaining all physical resources as allocated by management
• Effectively managing and controlling the financial resources as allocated
• Timeously generating, submitting and completing all administrative documentation required for this position
• Ensuring effective two-way communication within the department in terms of policies, procedures, health and safety-related issues and any other day-to-day working arrangements.
