Payoll Administrator South Africa-Gauteng Province

African Barrick Gold requires a suitably qualified and experience Payroll Administrator based at the Johannesburg Regional Office. This position will report to the Payroll Supervisor.
KEY RESULT AREAS / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Receive and capture all salary input data from relevant sources
  • Ensure correctness of input and monthly salary payments
  • Upload and distribution of monthly payslips, electronically and manually
  • Compile reports for submission to various departments
  • Prepare and balance month-end reports and reconcile payrolls to bank statements
  • Issue and record adjustments to pay
  • Address and follow up any queries
  • Record employee information such as transfers, terminations, engagements in order to maintain and update payroll records
  • Storing and maintaining information in written or electronic format
  • Performing administrative activities
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
Education Requirements:
  • Minimum of Matric / Grade 12
  • Payroll certification is a distinct advantage
Experience and Skills Requirement:
  • A minimum of 4 years experience working on the VIP payroll system
  • Microsoft Office skills are required in particular Excel and Word
  • Experience working on multinational payrolls is preferable
  • Knowledge of electronic funds transfer will be advantageous
