Supply Business Process Analyst Australia

As the world’s largest gold mining company with headquarters in Toronto, Canada, Barrick has a portfolio of 27 mining operations, many advanced explorations projects located across five continents and a large number of tenements located on some of the most prolific and prospective mineral trends. Ten of Barrick’s mining operations are found within the Australia Pacific region, with its regional head office located in Perth, Western Australia.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Supply Business Process Analyst for our Regional Head Office in Perth. The primary focus of this role is to successfully implement the supplier on-boarding management plan into the business to business (B2B) process of Supply Chain Management.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Supply Business Process Superintendent, major accountabilities will include:
  • Establishing clear communications for B2B support between Ariba, our suppliers and business units
  • Ensuring data is in a full state of readiness for supplier on-boarding
  • Liaising closely with stakeholders to complete all necessary tasks
  • Conducting detailed planning for the on boarding of suppliers
  • Fully support and guide on B2B related operational issues
  • Developing and maintaining formal and comprehensive documentation
  • Developing business unit end-user B2B training documentation and rolling out using approved tool sets
  • Producing regular status reports to keep managers informed
  • Participating as a team member in special projects as required
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Engineering or Information Systems is preferred
  • Relevant experience, preferably within the minerals or related industry
  • Experience with Supply Chain Management processes and systems implementation
  • Experience with management of change and document management
  • Demonstrated ability in problem solving, solution generation and analysis
  • Experience as part of a business improvement team
  • High level understanding of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations
  • Intuitive ability to navigate ERP Systems
  • Advanced MS Office Word and Excel
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Prior experience in B2B, Ariba / Oracle EBS is highly regarded

In addition to the above, the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels. You will have strong report writing and presentation skills.

The role is Perth-based with approximately 30 % travel expected within Australia (WA, NSW). A competitive salary package is offered in line with qualifications and experience.

This is a six month fixed term contract with the opportunity to be extended.
