The role: Product Marketing Manager, Cloud Platform Lead

As an enterprise developer product marketing manager, you will craft and execute campaigns to increase awareness and adoption of Google’s application platform offerings, such as Google App Engine for Business, Google Storage for Developers and Google Apps Marketplace. You will work closely to shape go-to-market messaging and strategy for new developer offerings, create materials to help businesses learn about the capabilities for developers, test and optimize new marketing programs, and work with companies that offer add-on functionality for Google Apps customers through the Apps Marketplace. Responsibilities:

  • Provide marketing support for Google Apps and Developer launches, including development of messaging, creative assets and training for sales representatives
  • Drive awareness and sales growth of Google Apps platform and developer products, including Google Apps Marketplace, Google App Engine for Business, Google Developer Storage and Google APIs
  • Partner with sales to develop lead generation programs appropriate for products
  • Work with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies, to market integrated software offerings to business customers. Work with System Integration partners to develop solutions around Google’s platform
  • Analyze data and provide visibility of trends for product marketing and sales leadership

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree. In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience.
  • 3 years marketing experience with software, infrastructure or platform-as-a-service technologies.
  • Experience in the business technology market and in working closely with an inside sales organization to drive demand.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience planning and executing multiple, complex marketing programs including budget management.
  • Familiarity with website analytics, CRM systems (Salesforce.com or similar) and tracking tools to assess campaign effectiveness.
  • Demonstrable project management skills and experience, including managing external creative agencies, events vendors, and international projects.
  • Excellent quantitative reasoning, creativity and strategic skills
