Regional Senior Manager Project Evaluation United States-Utah-Salt Lake City
Responsibilities include: The successful candidate will lead the project evaluations group and respective project managers to complete project studies using Barrick project standards and systems. Evaluations will be completed using a combination of in-house project managers, in-house experts and consultants.
Primary Job Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
• Develop and maintain a safety culture for the team and team clients
• Develop team members
• Effectively manage a group of senior technical professionals and project managers
• Help develop and implement a comprehensive regional growth strategy
• Track and manage multiple project evaluations
• Complete evaluation and project budgets
• Manage projects to budget
• Work with team members to develop accurate project schedules
• Solicit and coordinate teams from various regional resources to advance projects
• Present results and make next step recommendations to regional and corporate senior leadership
• Assist in managing permitting activities as appropriate
• Identify and advance growth opportunities
• Manage regional project governance and project reporting
SELECTION CRITERIA
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:
• Excellent safety record and demonstrated safety commitment required
• BS degree in mining related engineering field or other degree with equivalent level of mining related experience required
• Proven history of completing successful and accurate mine and mining facility evaluations required
• Demonstrated familiarity with multiple mining disciplines, two preferred
• Proven history of creating excellent geology and engineering teams required
• Minimum 15 years experience with a minimum 10 years mine site experience preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required
