Aga Khan University Assistant Professor / Senior Instructor

Aga Khan University, chartered in 1983 as Pakistan’s first private international university, is committed to the provision of education, research and health care of international standard relevant to Pakistan and the region. The affiliated Aga Khan University Hospital has well-equipped investigative services and provides a wide array of clinical facilities in a tertiary care setting.

The University Hospital has a modern Radiation Oncology unit. The facilities comprise of multidisciplinary Oncology clinics in a dedicated oncology building, a Varian Acuity Simulator, Eclipse Treatment Planning system, a Mould room, two Varian LINACS, one with with 6/18 MV photons, 6-18 MeV electrons, EPI, and MLC, and a Gammamed Plus HDR Brachytherapy unit. IMRT will be commissioned in 2010. The section has 3 academic programs: residency in Radiation Oncology, RTT training, and a 2 year certificate program in Medical Physics.

Responsibilities

The incumbent is expected to have independent consultant status and undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and specified administrative activities.

Requirements

Candidates must have completed a structured postgraduate training and have FCPS/ FRCR/ American Board in Radiation Oncology or equivalent qualifications, with at least 2-3 years experience as Fellow or equivalent in their field.
