​Coordinator, Field Sites

The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has nine community-based field sites across Pakistan (including five in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level, not only impacting the health policies but also enabling millions to live an improved life.Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of ​Coordinator, Field Sites.
Responsibilities

​The appointee will be responsible to:

  • Supervise overall administrative and logistics operations assigned at field sites in Karachi;
  • Ensure proper field sites workflow and streamline processes for efficient working;
  • Coordinate with project / research supervisors, field staff and administrative team to supervise project activities and to ensure their smooth operations;
  • Maintain close coordination with community stakeholders in order to streamline daily issues;
  • Supervise field site supplies inventory management, coordinate with Paediatrics administration department for issuance of supplies and medicine;
  • Monitor proper transport and storage of goods, office supplies and medicines from Paediatrics research office to field site;
  • Ensure proper maintenance of inventory with proper supply inventory tracking system;
  • Oversee arrangements of training programs, workshops and conference at the field sites.
Requirements

​Candidates should have:

  • A Master’s in Business Administration / Social Sciences with at least 3 to 4 years of relevant experience preferably in project management;
  • An ability to manage multiple field sites;
  • Fluency in written and spoken English. Sindhi speaking would be an added advantage;
  • Good networking and interpersonal skills;
  • Good negotiation and management skills;
  • Resilience to cope with work pressure;
  • Proficiency in MS Office;
  • Willingness to travel to field sites on regular basis.
