Agritech Establishment & Consultancy Limited, a Caribbean based Management Consultancy firm, is seeking an Agricultural Engineer to serve as Technical Advisor/Manager for a greenfield rice project in Central Nigeria comprising rice production and processing operations. The incumbent will join the Project Management team for an estimated duration of 6 years and will be responsible to the Project Manager whilst liaising in his day to day operations with both the Agronomist and the Plant Engineer. The Agricultural Engineer will coordinate, in conjunction with the General Managers and Technical Advisory personnel, the systematic construction and maintenance of the field’s irrigation and drainage infrastructure, as well as support the procurement and management of the transport and agricultural machinery and workshops. The Agricultural Engineer is expected to provide advice and assistance to the Project Manager in project start-up, work plan development, identification and preparation of contracts for short-term technical assistance and external service providers, monitoring and reporting, budget revisions, and other technical and administrative areas; Minimum Qualifications: · A Higher National Diploma qualification in agricultural engineering or related field; · Five years experience in a senior position in the operations management of a large-scale agricultural enterprise. · Two years relevant experience in developing countries, preferably West Africa; To be considered applicants must e-mail a current CV to info@aeclglobal.com
