Job Description:
The Health Industries practice comprises professionals with deep health industry expertise, including physicians, nurses, information system specialists, health policy analysts, actuaries, financial advisors, and data analysts. Their multidisciplinary and multi-industry approach enables our professionals to collaborate with clients to help them manage strategic initiatives, deliver financial performance and operational improvements, manage risk and compliance programs and to align core business processes with health information technology.
With a focus toward capabilities in innovation and growth, operations improvement, sustainability and quality, information technology, financial management, and governance, risk, and compliance, the practice has served clients in the following sectors:
Healthcare providers: hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, community providers, outpatient and freestanding ambulatory centers, and physician practices
Payers: focused on both commercial health plans and public governmental insurers
Employers: this area works with corporations from a broad range of industries concerned about employee healthcare coverage and costs
Pharmaceutical companies: branded and generic manufacturers and drug research organizations

The Health Industries strategy focuses on our capabilities and bandwidth in the following areas: Health Information Technology, Risk and Regulatory, Personalized Medicine, Pharma and Life Sciences Research and Development and Sales and Marketing, and Medical Device.

Our Health Industries Provider Team assists hospital and health systems with quantitative analysis to support management decision-making around a variety of financial and operational issues. Resources within the group focus on strategic planning, turnaround analysis, feasibility studies, third-party reimbursement, operations improvement, including staffing and non-staffing cost reviews and revenue cycle assessments.

The Supply Chain team provides consulting services in the area of strategy and tactician of supply chain improvement, advising companies in some of the following areas:
* inventory management, purchased services & supply utilization -operational review of materials management
* acquisition price savings
* negotiating contracts -redesigning logistical methodology from suppliers and clients
* improving overall efficiency and effectiveness of purchasing departments
* implementing automated supply delivery -strategizing on planning and organizing material management operations
* policy and procedures on supply management initiatives
* assessment and implementation of Operating Room resource initiatives.

Position/Program Requirements:
Knowledge Preferred:

Thorough knowledge of supply chain within a large healthcare provider in one of the following roles (or similar roles): associate director or manager of clinical resource management, distribution and inventory, procure to pay or contracting and sourcing.

Thorough knowledge and experience supporting leadership in the development of budgets, financial management and staff.

Thorough experience producing white papers or publishing in journals on the topic of supply chain management.

Skills Preferred:

Thorough experience and exposure to drive the supply chain process in three or more of the following skill sets: process review, redesign and implementation, productivity and efficiency, clinical resource management / value analysis, distribution or distributor assessment, distributor recommendation and optimization, in sourcing / outsourcing assessment, purchase services review and assessment, contracting non-labor cost reduction, inventory and par management, account payable invoice discrepancy management, supply chain IT, technology assessment and optimization, GPO assessment, GPO selection and optimization, capital asset management, and, analysis and communication; a specialty in pharmacy supply chain or preoperative supply chain is preferred.

Considerable experience identifying and addressing client needs: building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement; communicating value propositions; managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections; and preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.

Considerable experience as a team leader: supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust; seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation; and coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback.

Thorough experience in a progressive Healthcare Provider consulting environment.

Minimum Degree(s) and Certification(s) Required:

Masters of Business Administration, Masters of Public Health or Masters of Health Administration required. ( Undergraduate degree obtained should be in one of the concentrations: Business, Healthcare Management or Industrial Engineering).

Certified Material and Resource Professional (CMRP) preferred. Membership in one or more of the National organizations preferred: Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), Association for Healthcare Resources and Material Management (AHRMM), American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
