Job Description:
The Public Sector practice of PwC is a fast growing, focused organization that is a trusted advisor providing business advisory and assurance services to the Federal Government. We are engaged in some of the Government’s most difficult challenges.

We are at work with every cabinet agency providing project management, business and financial planning for the Department of Defense, advising on data security, threat and vulnerability management for the Department of Homeland Security, and consulting on human capital and succession issues for the Internal Revenue Service.

PwC delivers premier management consulting services to the Federal Government using what we term the Auditors’ Lens™ to enable government agencies, their key programs and their leadership to achieve transparency, accountability and operational effectiveness.

Our Supply Chain and Logistics team has extensive experience in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of end-to-end supply chain operations. PwCs supply chain and logistics engagements deliver results, helping our clientsvsupply chain and logistics operations create a strategic advantage by developing and validating strategy, improving reliability and responsiveness, and minimizing risk and costs. Our team members have walked in our clients’ shoes and work shoulder to shoulder with our clients. This accounts for their superb understanding of the challenges our clients face. PwCs supply chain and logistics services include:
-Supply chain, logistics and sustainment strategy development
-Supply Chain Operations Reference Model (SCOR)™ diagnostics – the benchmarking of the performance and configuration of a clients supply chain
-Business Case Analysis, Cost Benefit Analysis, and Analysis of Alternative studies on supply chain and logistics operations
-Sales and Operations Planning strategy and implementation
-Strategic Network Optimization analysis– Inventory, Transportation, and Warehousing Management
-Supply chain and logistics process optimization services
-Implementation of leading Strategic Sourcing and Procurement practices
-Determination, implementation, and usage of information systems that address client needs

Position/Program Requirements:
Knowledge Preferred:
Demonstrates proven thorough knowledge and understanding of one or more of the following areas: supply chain operations, strategic sourcing, operations research, optimization and stimulation, logistics, financial management, or transportation management, especially as it relates to the federal government sector.
Technical and graduate level degrees preferred.
Although not required, candidates with a Federal security clearance preferred.

Skills Preferred:
Demonstrates a proven record of success and thorough abilities to support teams through the design and implementation of people, process and technology changes to our clients supply chain and logistics functions, including the following areas:
-Identifying and addressing client needs: managing engagements including preparing concise, accurate documents and balancing project economics management with the occurrence of unanticipated issues
-Creating a positive environment by monitoring workloads of the team while meeting client expectations and respecting the work-life quality of team members; providing candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner; and keeping leadership informed of progress and issues
-Executing quantitative analyses and solving problems, using analytical software programs like Excel, Access, and Matlab
-Leading self and managing workstreams with limited supervision

Minimum Years of Experience Necessary:
Dependent on educational level.

Minimum Degree(s) and Certification(s) Required:
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree with four years experience, or Master's degree with two years experience.

Candidates must be eligible to hold a Federal security clearance.
Travel Requirements: depending on engagement, but potentially up to 65-75%

Additional Information:
Experience in the Aerospace and Defense area with demonstrated performance in supply chain operations, strategic sourcing, operations research, optimization and stimulation, logistics, financial management or trasportation management required. Commercial experience in the industrial, aerospace, defense, electronics, and automotive industries is a plus, as it can be applied to both the public sector and the industries that serve government. - MBA preferred - Technical undergraduate degrees desired
