For the Office of the Group Chief Executive, we are looking for an Executive Assistant to be based in Lome, Togo.

Description:
The Group Chief Executive Officer of Ecobank Transnational Inc. sits in Lome, where the Group is headquartered. We are seeking a highly motivated, well-organised candidate who can independently and effectively manage the Office of the Group Chief Executive to ensure smooth operations and provide support to the Group CEO. The successful candidate will be part of a small team consisting of a Special Assistant and an Administrative Assistant. We are looking for exceptional business skills, proficiency in English and French, capacity to work under pressure, sound judgement and the highest trustworthiness in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters. The Executive Assistant will have excellent interpersonal skills and experience of dealing with high level internal and external contacts.

- Independently and effectively manage the Office of the Group CEO; establish and implement general office procedures and guidelines to ensure smooth work flow within the office
- Provide full and wide-ranging administrative support to the Group CEO
- Provide the highest level of support with respect to monitoring and follow-up of correspondence and communications: screen, track, prioritise, channel and follow up all incoming e-mails, documents, telephone calls
- Highlight issues needing attention, using good judgement to prioritise and ensure that deadlines are met
- Handle the Group CEO's calendar including official functions and engagements, travel arrangements and schedules including briefing materials
- Monitor and edit all documents leaving the Office of the CEO and ensure quality control and consistency; monitor quality of internal documents coming into the Office of the Group CEO
- Act as liaison for the Group CEO with internal and external counterparts, handling sensitive matters with finesse and utmost discretion
- Independently handle a wide variety of inquires both internal and external
- Disseminate information to staff as needed, using initiative and good judgement
- Manage and maintain the Group CEO's files and databases to ensure that electronic and hardcopy records are maintained and protected according to Ecobank guidelines
- Participate in the planning and organising of logistics for large meetings, retreats, events as necessary
- Handle ad hoc duties as assigned by the Group CEO
Candidate profile:
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills gained in an international environment
- Successful previous experience in an Executive Assistant role at Board level
- Excellent communication skills; near-native fluency in French and English both written and spoken
- Maturity, discretion, good judgement; absolute integrity in handling confidential information and interacting with staff
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate and resolve problems
- High levels of motivation, energy, commitment and reliability
- Strong time management skills with proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with a minimum of supervision
- Exhibit teamwork, deal with difficult situations and act with professionalism
- Excellent interpersonal skills; proven ability to work as part of a team and across boundaries in an international and multi-cultural environment
- High degree of flexibility, demonstrated capacity to handle a variety of concurrent activities, to judge priorities and to take initiative
- Proficiency in office technology systems and software including Word, Powerpoint, Excel
