Holy Family Academy Director, Business Development

A private high school, located within an urban setting, seeks a full-time Director of Business Development to head the advancement office at this highly respected secondary school. Areas of responsibility include overseeing all functions that relate to gift solicitation, gift processing, records management, reporting, and prospect management/research.

Key activities include:

• Maintain the Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge database with accurate and current information;

• Improve data collection and constituent coding/record-keeping;

• Build reports, create exports and run queries to support all fundraising efforts;

• Develop sophisticated queries for mail segmentation and appeal analysis;

• Handle annual data updates

• Initiate and fulfill data requests for all mailings, invitations, and other activities;

• Establish and document policies and procedures to ensure data integrity;

• Provide data for the Annual Report;

• Format an annual Development Action plan; determine new solicitation strategies, establish ask amounts by constituencies, collaborate on setting annual fundraising goals

  • Provide data for the Annual Report

• Oversee management of third party consultants;

• Participate in Board of Trustees and Committee meetings as requested;

The ideal candidate will also:

• Possess strong organizational, written and verbal skills with proven ability to plan, coordinate, and implement multiple projects and meet deadlines;

• Work independently and collaboratively;

• Have experience supervising others;

• Demonstrate knowledge of database, word processing, and spreadsheet programs.

Data management experience in Raiser’s Edge and familiarity with Crystal Reports preferred, particularly in a fund raising/school development environment. Salary commensurate with experience. Bachelor’s degree required.
