An experienced professional is required to manage Christian Aid’s humanitarian and disaster risk reduction work within the region. You will need to be a confident communicator, able to deal with different people throughout the organisation.
This role is responsible for developing and implementing high quality and accountable programmes that attract resources, enabling us and our partners meet Christian Aid’s humanitarian and DRR objectives as a core part of country and regional programmes, working closely with colleagues across the International Department. The role has links with staff across the organisation especially with fundraising, media, communications and policy and advocacy staff
Your good analytical skills, experience of humanitarian standards and principles and the ability to take into account the needs, skills, capacities and experience of crisis-affected people and apply these in the response combined with a sound knowledge of the livelihoods approaches in relief and recovery as well as the role of churches and ecumenical organizations in relief and development is desirable.
