The ACTED-PSF Cambodia programme is rooted in a historical action against HIV/AIDS in the country. Present in the country since 1991, Pharmaciens Sans Frontières- international – Comité International (PSF-CI) was one of the first NGOs to work on sexually transmissible infections (STI) and HIV prevention in Cambodia. In December 2009, ACTED-PSF Cambodia is still very much focused on the prevention and response to HIV/AIDS.
III. Position Profile
ACTED-PSF is currently launching a new project focusing on “Improving Access to Sexual and Reproductive Health Information and Care for Youths” in Cambodia and is recruiting a Medical Doctor to be a Sexual and Reproductive Health Technical Assistant to this project
  • Contribute, in collaboration with the Project Manager and the Country representative, to the definition of the SRH project’s strategy
  • Provide Technical Assistance to the Project Manager in all aspects of the project Management.
  • Assist the project team in Developing training curriculums, training manuals and IEC materials for the different target groups (Youths, parents, authorities, health center staffs)
  • Ensure the technical quality of all health related document produced by the project
  • Ensure that all documents, trainings, materials, activities developed are appropriately designed to reach effectively the different target groups: Youths, Authorities, Parents and Health center staffs.
  • Assess the technical capacities of Health Center Staffs and design training curriculums based on the gaps identified
  • Monitor and ensure the quality of trainings provided to beneficiaries by NGO partners
  • Build the capacities of ACTED-PSF staffs in the field of SRH.
IV. Qualifications:
• Medical Doctor • Good knowledge/experience in SRH • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with various stakeholders (NGO partners, local authorities, governmental staffs…) • Proven capabilities in leadership required • Good English skills both written and oral • Knowledge of French and/or Khmer is an asset. • Knowledge of the Cambodian context and culture is an asset
V. Conditions:
• Salaried status • Net monthly Salary (€) according to experience and internal salary grid of ACTED + living allowance • Accommodation, food and transportation ensured by ACTED • Insurances, repatriation covered by ACTED
