Head Of Commercial Services

Job Purpose Statement
Reporting to the Group Chief Operating Officer, the purpose of the role is to strategically manage the Commercial Services function of the Group so as to ensure best practices are adopted and observed in corporate property management, Group sourcing and acquisition, outsource vendor management and health and safety functions. The role also has management of construction projects, major renovations to premises, and general administration activities oversight.

Main Activities
  • Formulate Group property management, procurement and administration policies and systems
  • Manage Group sourcing and value optimisation
  • Responsible for property availability intelligence
  • Ensuring quality of contract and income from leased properties
  • Outsource policy and service provider management
  • Offer high quality project leadership and management during construction, acquisition or disposal of Group properties
  • Ensure statutory compliance to property regulatory framework
  • Quality of Group administrative systems, processes and procedures
  • Team leadership.
  • The role is responsible for the effectiveness of the Commercial Services team structure and application of established systems (policies, processes and tools) in achieving compliance requirements, optimal efficiency, resource utilisation and cost containment.
Qualification & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree – Upper Second or GPA 3.0
  • Membership of related professional body
  • Five years relevant post-qualification experience in a medium to large corporate organisation.
  • Proficiency in use of relevant MS Office applications.
