IFESH International Educators for Africa

The International Educators for Africa (IEFA) program is an initiative of the International Foundation for Education and Self-Help (IFESH) in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), private donors and various corporations. Since 1992, IFESH has placed nearly 1,500 American volunteer educators in primary and secondary schools, teacher-training colleges and universities, and government educational agencies in fourteen countries.
The IEFA program invites applications from educators, college and university professors, school administrators, and retired educators who are able to commit to one year of service (with the possibility for extension) in a developing country, readily adaptable to living conditions in developing countries, and in good health.
