Queen’s University Belfast Lecturer in Economics


Queen’s University Management School (QUMS) - which enjoys an international reputation as a top 20 UK management school and a first class research institute for the business sciences – has a bold ambition. We aim to grow into a global leading Management School and we are seeking to reinforce our academic reputation by appointing academic leaders in Economics and Finance at Lecturer, Senior Lecturer/Reader and Professor level.

Professor/Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Economics

The successful applicant will be a committed teacher as well as have the potential to publish in journals of an international standard in any field of Economics. Applicants for a senior post must have a track record of publications of an international standard. While applicants from any field of Economics are welcomed, preference may be given to applicants with expertise in macroeconomics, development economics, institutional economics, and/or economic history.

Salary scales:
Lecturer/Teaching Fellow: £32,901 - £48,246 per annum (including contribution points)
Senior Lecturer: £46,846 - £59,303 per annum (including contribution points)
For appointments at Professor level, salary will be determined in accordance with the appropriate Professorial ranges as applied within the University.
