Candidates will need a Grade 12/N3 certificate and a relevant trade certificate (Electrical), plus a valid Foreman or Senior Foreman Certificate, Medium Voltage Certificate and 2 years’ experience in a mechanised mining environment. In-depth knowledge of relevant mine codes of practice is also needed.

Duties and responsibilities include: • Managing the KPAs of subordinates • Evaluating/monitoring compliance with codes of practice • Supporting adherence to the company’s full compliance initiatives • Ensuring the health and safety of the people and conditions in the section • Ensuring daily/weekly/monthly and annual TM3 maintenance targets are met • Technical problem-solving • All functions related to LT and HT reticulation • Managing electrical construction/maintenance work • Ordering equipment spares.
