The inspection and surface maintenance departments in the operations North Sea west business cluster are responsible for inspection of process equipment, structure and pipeline systems on selected offshore installations. We need to strengthen our capacity and expertise within pipeline systems. You will take part in developing Statoil to be among the best in the world within pipeline technology in our industry.

Job description

  • Planning, performing and reporting of inspection activities of pipeline systems / risers
  • Technical support activities regarding pipeline systems and risers
  • Knowing, understanding and interpreting standards, specifications, government rules and regulations
  • Follow-up and cooperation with suppliers for good HSE results
  • Participation in professional networks within the discipline
  • Role as liaison with other stakeholders in the organization

Qualifications

  • BSc/MSc degree
  • Both newly qualified and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Relevant experience within one or more of areas such as marine structures, pipelines, material technology and inspection is desirable
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards
  • Good Norwegian and English skills, written and oral
