Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide project and technical management to groundwater and water resources projects. The incumbent will work closely with geoscientists, environmental scientists, and reservoir and well engineers and supporting subsurface water management.
Key Accountabilities

Core Accountabilities
Position Specific
  • Manage bore baseline studies including internal stakeholders, communications, prioritisation, field visit scheduling, data validation and checking, reporting
  • Project management of water related projects including Ecotoxicity, fraccing risk assessments & post stimulation monitoring
  • Project management of monitoring implementation and field data collection
  • Implementation of water specific data management and storage solutions
  • Interface with the QGC Environment Group for compliance schedule management
  • Technical reporting of water related data to regulators
People Management
  • The incumbent must adhere to the annual HR cycle and meet deadlines within the appropriate timeframes

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Experience
  • Water related environmental technical expertise
  • Project management of water related environmental studies
  • Management of field data collection
  • Experience in negotiating policy and approvals with Government regulators, particularly DERM and DEEDI
  • Proven experience in effective time management and project management skills
  • Previous exposure to Joint Venture partner relationships and Joint Operating Agreements would be desirable
  • Proven experience in applying HSE principles within a technical area
 Knowledge, Languages, Skills and Attributes
  • Degree in hydrogeology, environmental science or environmental engineering
  • Ability to look at the big picture and identify areas of concern early in a process
  • Demonstrated awareness of other subsurface disciplines and familiarity with working in integrated project delivery teams
  • Capable of performing multiple tasks leading to final products of significant business value
  • Ability to apply company and industry standards and is knowledgeable in the application of functional assurance processes
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with previous experience in effectively operating in a matrix team structure
  • Proven experience in working closely with managers to achieve team goals
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Good presentation skills and clear and convincing report writing ability
  • Ability to proactively manage own professional development, in consultation with line and parent manager
  • Team player with a collaborative approach to working with peers and development of a team culture
  • Self aware, able and willing to grow and extend influence with appropriate stakeholders
  • Ability to direct and instruct where appropriate
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
