Community of Practice Platform Coordinator
Summary: The Community of Practice (CoP) Platform Coordinator ensures smooth and efficient support and maintenance of the two online Communities of Practice related to social and environmental safeguards that will be established under the Mekong Partnership for the Environment (MPE) project. The two online CoPs will enable civil society organizations to interact and build social capital with actors from government, the private sector, academia, and the media. The CoP Platform Coordinator provides regular support and maintenance of the websites, and will work in collaboration with the MPE project team to ensure that information is up-to-date, is well-publicized to relevant partners and interested parties. The CoP Platform Coordinator will be based in Bangkok, but may be asked to travel, as needed, to regional offices.
The CoP Platform Coordinator will report to the DCOP.
Specific Duties: • Fostering partnerships and building member capacity for strengthening relevant discourses and practices surrounding social and environmental safeguards in the Lower Mekong Region • Sharing best practices, lessons learned, guidelines, methods, tools and innovations • Influencing policy and practice around social and environmental safeguards • The COP Platform Coordinator will link with other projects and relevant counterparts • Performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: BA and at least 6 years of relevant experience (or equivalent) Ability to travel regionally
Preference for: • Previous experience in communications and networking • Troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills

Technical Skills • Good experience in at least one of following areas: organizational capacity development, public participation, environmental impact assessment, social and environmental safeguards • Working knowledge and understanding of donor policies and regulations • Competence using common desktop applications and internal systems
