Senior editor, Thought Leadership

The Economist Group’s Thought Leadership division provides cutting-edge research and custom content that helps our blue-chip clients engage high-level business audiences and promote informed debate on a wide range of topics.
There is now an opportunity for a person with considerable expertise in researching, editing and writing; a depth of understanding in international business, industry and management issues; and good contacts in the Middle East.
Drawing on both existing Economist Intelligence Unit content and on specially commissioned research, you will conceptualise, create and deliver research reports to EMEA, producing reports and editorial programmes to our high standards. Also, you will work with our events and marketing teams to deliver this valuable content in print, in person at our events, and through a range of digital and social media channels.
This will involve managing key client relationships; planning and delivering projects on a wide range of business and policy issues in areas such as healthcare, innovation, infrastructure, talent and many others; and writing and editing business surveys, commissioning and editing white papers, and working on a variety of other thought leadership projects.
Outstanding project management skills should be coupled to excellent presentation skills, a diplomatic approach and a commitment to editorial quality and independence.
Please send your cv (preferably by email) with a covering letter and details of your current salary to recruitmenteight@economist.com or by post to Recruitment Office, 20 Cabot Square, London E14 4QW.
Closing date for applications is December 6th 2013.
