The opportunity
We are looking for a CMS Supervisor - Electrical based at our iron ore operation, Tom Price, to manage small to medium maintenance and continuous improvement projects of the electrical transmission and distribution, water distribution and sewage collection and processing systems.  You will be implementing proactive maintenance strategies to increase the availability and reliability Network services to customers.

Working within the Pilbara Supply Chain business unit, the Utilities division provides essential electrical, water, hydrocarbon and waste management services to Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) Pilbara Operations. This includes the towns of Wickham, Dampier, Pannawonica, Tom Price and Paraburdoo where infrastructure and systems will be significantly expanded over the next five years.

What the role entails
This position is a great opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic individual seeking a new challenge. Working on a fly in fly out roster (8 days on and 6 days off) from Perth and reporting to the Superintendent Utilities Tom Price, you will be:
 
  • Allocating appropriately resources to achieve targets established in the weekly maintenance plans and ensure work is completed safely, on time and within budget
  • Responding in a timely manner to customer requests for services, including faults, isolations, project upgrades and high voltage switching
  • Communicating with key stakeholders, including business units, customers to allocate resources in order to resolve work requirements
  • Ensuring that all work complies with relevant statutory requirements
  • Providing technical support, guidance and supervision to contractors and employees 
  • Promoting environmentally responsible work practices and ensure environmental issues are addressed through controls, training and improvement programs
 
What you will need for this role
To succeed in this exciting and challenging role, you will have:
 
  • An Electrical trade qualification
  • A Western Australia (WA) Electrical Workers licence
  • Experience with high voltage distribution operation and equipment maintenance
  • Experience with water production and treatment systems
  • Experience in a project management role including developing and writing scopes of work
  • A Western Australian "C" class driver's licence
